Chris Paul's loyalty 
 I think what Chris did for his grandfather was really sweet of him. He made 61 shots in basketball for his grandfather in a high school game as a tribute. His grandfather was murdered and they were really close. I think this was a good example of being loyal to someone. His grandfather would be like his number one fan. He was always there for him in his games. Even when he was not there Chris would still be able to do it because he knew his grandpa was watching from above.

internet society

The internet society today has changed through out the time. A Couple of things they want in there mission for the Internets society is ...

• Facilitates open development of standards, protocols, administration, and the technical infrastructure of the Internet.
• Supports education in developing countries specifically, and wherever the need exists.
• Promotes professional development and builds community to foster participation and leadership in areas important to the evolution of the Internet.
• Provides reliable information about the Internet.

Block 1: Industriousness 
"In plain and simple English this means hard work. Very hard work. There is no substitute for very hard work when it comes to success."
I agree with this quote by john wooden. When you really want something you should chase after it.You should stick to what you want to do.Not giving up and trying your best is the key to being successful and also believing in yourself. You could use a negative thing so you could be successful. It's like if someone told you that you wouldn't be successful, you could use that negativity to prove them wrong. Negativity isn't always negative because you could prove someone wrong and that negative things that were sad made you successful. It's like they say, "success travels in the company of very hard work." I will apply this to my life because it will push me forward to things I wanna do.
 
Block 2: Enthusiasm 
"It is the engine that powers all blocks of the Pyramid. It is why I chose Industriousness and Enthusiasm as the cornerstones of my Pyramid of success. It is where everything begins."


 

Block 3: Friendship 
"Comes from mutual esteem, respect and devotion. Like marriage it must not be taken for granted but requires a joint effort."

  Friendships help you get through the things that you cannot go through alone. Friends that say that they are your friends will be there through good and bad. Friendships don't always last but those happen because you are just learning a lesson that you didn't know about. Having a bad friendship or relationship is a lesson and a blessing as well because you start to realize things that you did not know before. Every friendship and relationship have a lesson.

Block 4: Loyalty
"To yourself and to all those depending on you. Keep yourself self-respect."
 To be loyal it is very important. I think you should always be loyal because you gain respect. Being loyal in a relationship is very important because you gain trust. When your not loyal then that person will not trust you.

 


Block 5: cooperation
"with all levels of your co-workers. Listen if you want to be heard. Be interested in finding the best way, not in having your own way."
 I think cooperating is very important. When you cooperate with others this can help you in many ways. For example if your those type of timid people and you cooperate you could feel more comfortable. Being cooperative also makes you look like handy person. When people ever need help they will feel the need to ask you because they know you would like to cooperate. Cooperative is very important especially when it comes to working with new people. If they put you in a group to do a project in school you have to cooperate a lot with those people even if you don't know them, its important to get the job done. It allows individuals to move forward together, to move in the same direction instead of going off in different directions.Working hard together in all ways to accomplish the common goals.                                                          

Block 6: Ambition
For Noble goals
Ambition is a strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work.Without ambition there is no way that you will achieve your goals either if they are long term or short term goals. An example of being ambitious is when you plan to do all your work at home and school work and you make a plan so you could get everything done. That is ambition because you desire to do those things and you want to achieve them so you make a plan. Ambition is the key to success also. I believe this a path to success because you plan goals for yourself. It's like a life planning journal where you right down things that you want to do later on in the future.You need to be determined on what you want to do. Being determined takes you on the path of achieving your goals. When your ambition is big then the effects on it is that you will get a great outcome of what you are working in. I believe that with time you get more and more ambitious.
 
Block 7: Self-control
"Practice self-discipline and keep emotions under control. Good judgement and common sense are essential."
 Self control is when you have the ability to control yourself. If you have no self control then it'll be hard to do things.Self control is being able to control your emotions and actions and behavior. . Self-discipline says a lot about you and your education or how you were educated. As you see this world is really judgmental and people have to judge about everything. People care about getting good judgment depending from who its coming from. Common sense is used daily but some people that haven't matured yet don't have common sense. Common sense is not making a fool out of yourself or saying irrelevant comments. Your emotions will always get in the way of how you feel or how you react towards the situation. You have to learn how to cope with those emotions of yours.

Block 8: Alertness
"Be observing constantly. Stay open-minded . Be eager to learn and improve."
 This means to have the ability to be alert. It is an attitude of vigilance, readiness, or caution, as before an expected attack. Being alert is the way you learn new things later on in life. You have to watch what you have surrounded yourself with including people and things. Surrounding yourself with bad people won't make you successful. Be enthuse when you are learning something new because what's the whole point of learning something or just sitting there for hours if you are not really paying attention to what is being said. Alertness is the hidden discipline of familiarity. Staying open-minded is spilling all your ideas out when you come up with one or when you know something and you share it. Being open-minded could probably encourage people to be open-minded as well. Also an advantage of being open-minded is that you could teach others what you already know. But being open-minded needs to be the truth not lies that you make up just because you feel like it. You have to be honest when you are being open-minded.

Block 9: Initiative 
"Cultivate the ability to make decisions and think alone. Do not be afraid of failure, but learn from it."
This is an important block to be initiative is the ability to assess and initiate things independently.
 Always be alert for ways to make something work better. Take it upon yourself be the first to adopt and implement the newest company policy. To be initiative you should always push yourself to do more because that way you get better.

Block 10: Intentness
"set a realistic goal. Concentrate on its achievement by resisting all temptations. Be determined and persistent." 
To be intentness means to be firmly or steadfastly fixed or directed, as the eyes or mind an intent gaze.Having the attention sharply focused or fixed on something intent on one's job. To have intentness one must put all their effort to their job.Intentness is important to pursue our goal, it is to have the intent to do and achieve out goals. We must try to concentrate to achieve them at our best potential. The intent to work hard towards meeting our goals.
 
Block 11: Sincerity 
Keep Friends

Sincerity is just about being good friends. You need good friends in life to survive this cruel world. Also having a good friend will do crazy stuff with you. For example you catch the guy that been sleeping with your girl, and you call your friend to help you beat him up. Hell he would be glad to help him out in one condition whats in it for him. Probably when they go to the cheaters house they could might as well steal idk. Life is like a game where you put your life at stake. Its alright to have friends in life, at first you have a lot of friends but then lose after awhile. They be going their separate ways

Block 12: Adaptability 

To any situation
I think to adapt to things is a good way to success. This is the quality of being able to adjust to new conditions. For example when your new to a class you have to able to adapt to that new classroom. You should get use to being with new people. Another example of adaptability is when you grow up and go to college you have to be able to adapt to your campus like a young adult. This is very important if you learn to adapt to new things you will be a successful person. You should be able to adapt to new things this will make you look great and make you feel comfortable. It will also show others that you have this skill.   

Block 13: Condition

"Mental-Moral-Physical. Rest, exercise and diet must be considered. Moderation must be practiced. Dissipation must be eliminated."
Condition means the state of something, especially with regard to its appearance, quality, or working order.What block number thirteen is trying to say is that, when you are in condition you have to watch what you eat, how much rest you get, and how much water you are putting in your body. When you start to condition it takes time and practice. For example when you start practicing for a sport or exercise you get tired and sore because it's something new that you haven't tried before. With time conditioning starts to get use to your body. Either way around or your body starts getting used to the conditioning you are putting it through. But it doesn't only have to do with your body it could also be in your brain. It could be in the brain because you could control what you want to learn and what you don't want to learn

Block 14: Skill
"A knowledge of and the ability to properly and quickly execute the fundamentals. Be prepared and cover every little detail."
 Skill means to have the ability to do something well. This means to be an an expert at something. For example an athlete in the Olympics they could have good skills in sports such as Volleyball,Swimming,Cycling,gymnastics,boxing,karate,lacrosse, and sprinting etc. You could also have skills for other things like having good thinking skills. In school you could have the skill to have good grades and do all your work.   




Block 15:Team Spirit 
"A Genuine consideration for others. An eagerness to sacrifice personal interests of glory for the welfare of all."

Team spirit is the feeling of pride and loyalty that exists among the members of a team and that makes them want their team to do well or to be the best. It is important to have team spirit because it makes you look like you have pride.Team stands for Together Everyone Achieves More. I believe that this is right. I believe that this is right because its true when it is more than one person you accomplish things and you accomplish more things that what you should have. Team spirit is also cheering your team up not to give up. Give them hope so they could continue with what they believe in. At first things could be wrong but if you give your team spirit and motivate them then they will try all over again. I will apply this to my daily life by having spirit and getting more involved when I work in a team. When I get something wrong I won't give up and I will keep trying just because my team motivates me and I will do the same thing

back to them when they don't have any spirit.
Block 16: Honesty
In thought and action

To be honest you have to have the ability to be honest and tell the truth.Honesty refers to a facet of moral character and connotes positive and virtuous attributes such as integrity, truthfulness, straightforwardness, including straightforwardness of conduct, along with the absence of lying, cheating, theft, etc. Furthermore, honesty means being trustworthy, loyal, fair, and sincere. It is important to have honesty because that way more people will trust you. If you have honesty then people will see a good person in you because they know that you don't lie and they can trust you. When your honest

  Block 17: Resourcefulness
Proper Judgement

 Resourcefulness is the ability to find quick and clever ways to overcome difficulties. This is important because when your resourceful you can solve any problem you have quickly. This should apply to everyone because everyone at some point has a problem in there life. For example lets say your doing a math problem if you pay attention to the steps the teacher tells you then you will have skills solving the problems, you will be resourceful.To be a resourceful person you have to have tools for coming up with solutions. You have to adapt to difficult situations like the math example.

Block 18: Poise

"Just being yourself. Being at ease in any situation."

Graceful and elegant bearing in a person.
This block means to be elegant and this is very important to apply to your life. You should always have grace and poise because this helps you be a well proper person with good manners.Say for example you go to a fancy restaurant you want to have poise it will make you look good. This will be important in many situations even on special occasions. When you apply this you will feel proud and well organized instead of being a bum. Not applying this will make you look awful because people will see that you are lazy and don't have manners. 



Block 19: Confidence

"Respect without fear. May come from being prepared
and keeping all things in proper perspective."

To have confidence it means to have the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust. It is important to have confidence because you need this to face things. There will be times in life that will ask for you to have confidence and if you don't then you won't be able to do what you have to do without being uncomfortable like when you have presentations. You need to have a lot of confidence to face the audience. One must have confidence to do many other things as well. Another example is when you have a  job interview. When you have a job interview you have to have confidence that you will do great on it and get the job.

Block 20: Reliability 
Creates respect 

I agree with this block I believe reliability is very important. Reliability is the quality of being trustworthy or of performing consistently well. It is important to have reliability on someone because it means that you trust them. Reliability is very important well because if you are reliable it shows respect and if people see you have a great respect and are reliable towards them they will trust you more or want to give you more opportunities. What if it is the other way around and you are reliable? well if you are then people will follow you and ask you for help then others will start to notice and want to provide assistance or sponsorship. I will apply this to my daily life trying to stay reliable and true to my promise so I will not let any people down. Also don't forget that it also reflects if you are trust worthy or just a big fake it also is or if you are also able to perform well.

Block 21: Fight
Determined effort

The word means to not fight physically but to fight with being the best.Lets say your striving to get a job but there is also another person who wants it. You will have to fight for that position not physically but with skills to show the boss that your a hard worker. This is very important because some time in your life you are going to have to fight for something. Whether its for a job or simply trying to earn something. When you work you always try your hardest to get everything done. There is going to be competition in jobs too. When you and another person are the hardest worker there your going to be offered to be a manager and you have to fight to be the best in the job. I will apply this to my life because I know sometime in my life I will have to fight.

Block 22: Competitive Greatness
"Be at your best when your best is needed. Enjoyment of a difficult challenge."

What this means is that its the ability to be at your best when your best is needed. You should always be competitive. When you compete for things you have to make sure that you have greatness in you. When you have greatness in you then you will be a good competitor in many things. A great leader must have competitive greatness while being in a sport. 






Block 23: Integrity
purity of intention

Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. When you have integrity you have that trust to keep promises. When your in a relationship you should have integrity never keep secrets from each other. An example of integrity is to not take your friends for granted. If you take your friends for granted you could possibly lose them forever. Another example of integrity is when you know that you did something bad or something you weren't suppose to do, don't let another person take the blame other than yourself. I will apply this to my daily life by having trust, reliability, and have sincerity.    

Block 24: Faith 

 Believe and achieve

To have faith is complete trust or confidence in someone orsomething. One should always have faith because it is what keeps someone going. Faith gives someone strength to do things even the impossible.Trust is actually relying on the fact that something is true. Many people believer certain facts about Jesus Christ. Faith is trust, assurance and confidence in god. Living faith is shown by service and obedience to god.

Block 25: Patience

Good things take time
 the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.Good things take time, not everything has to be fast.An example is if you grow a flower you have to give it time to grow big and beautiful or you will be with no flower at all.Everything comes in the time it was to.When you are teens all we want is to have someone with us but life has a way to send someone with you if its meant to be.So don't rush to things cause life will help you on your way. An example of having patience is a turtle because when they try to get to places they walk slow but they have patience. Another example is my friend Esme Moran she is a person who has a lot of patience even with her relationships. I will apply this to my daily life because if my friend can do it so can I.  

 Pyramid of Success Final Reflection

This can benefit me by helping me with doing good things and having good manners and a good personality

I am trying to apply all of them to me because I think this can make you become a better person.

The difference is that people see me in a different way they think I am more mature.
